2008-09 Kern Section Officers—“Planting the Seeds of Success”

Denette Clark

Denette is a returning officer and is serving as the sectional president and a San Joaquin Regional Vice-President. She is a Senior at Foothill FFA and has participated in Parli-Pro, Recordkeeping, and currently is raising a pig for the fair. She plans on attending UC Northridge or Fresno State Majoring in Sign Language communications.

Hillary Barnes

Hillary is a Junior at Foothill FFA and will serve the section as Vice President. She has shown hogs, sheep, and dairy cattle. Hillary has been involved in Parli-Pro and Livestock Judging. She also works on her dad’s hog ranch. She plans to attend and judge livestock at Texas A&M and wants to someday become an ag teacher.

Dustin Rogers

Dustin is a senior from Highland FFA. He will serve as the Kern Section Secretary. Dustin has shown livestock and is currently working at the Cotton Research Station in Shafter. He plans to either major in Ag Engineering or Biology and someday work in research or science.

Glenn Sailors

Glenn is a senior at Kern Valley FFA and will be serving as the sectional Treasurer. He has shown swine and beef projects and enjoys ag mechanics. He plans on attending Reedley College in preparing to be a diesel technician.

Maxwell Beal

Max is a Junior at Highland FFA and has shown sheep projects at the fair. He has participated in speaking contests and Parli-Pro. He will be serving as the Sectional Reporter and plans on attending Cal Poly majoring in Agriculture.

Holly Largent

Holly is a Junior at Kern Valley FFA and has shown hogs. She will serve as the Kern Section Sentinel for 08-09. She has judged horses and been on the Parli-Pro team. She wants to attend college to become a vet.
