The Advisor’s Message – 2009-2010
I am proud to be the Advisor of the Central Region FFA. The teachers and
students have a strong respect for agriculture and recognize their parts in the
growth and support of our basic industry. Members of the FFA are active, focused
young adults who are thinking of others, becoming an active part of their own
communities and preparing for a life of learning.
Civilizations have fallen when the stewardship of the land for food production
was neglected. Working with the agriculture teachers who facilitate knowledge
and skill development in agriculture gives me hope that production will continue
in California. Working with the elected Regional FFA Officers who represent the
understanding and leadership necessary to stand up for agriculture in the
community assures me that the future of our civilization is in good hands.
Each year brings a new group of officers with a new combination of experiences.
The FFA members of the Central Region always elect capable people who are
anxious to serve the members while growing in their leadership skills. This year
is no exception. I look forward to the success of all agriculture students in
the Central Region.
